Spa Day

Lately I have been really gross because of the summer heat and humidity. I decided I needed to take some time today to make myself feel a little better. I mostly focused on herbal remedies to help keep my face healthy and happy.

Tea (For healthy skin)

1 tbs Dandelion Root

2 Sprigs Peppermint

Honey to taste

Cinnamon to taste

(Bring to a boil and then turn down to simmer for around 15 minutes. Put your face over the steam to open up your pores and hydrate your skin. The tea itself can be sprinkled over the face or put on a wet washcloth to put on face.)

Face Mask

1/4 cup Rose Water or Dried Rose Buds

1/4 cup Aloe Vera

1/2 Oatmeal

2 cups Distilled Water

(Follow cooking instructions for oatmeal. Let cool and then put on face. Leave on until dry and cold and then wash off with warm washcloth. For oily skin you can put lemon into the mix.)

Moisturizer 

A few drops Vitamin E oil

A few drops Tea Tree Oil

2 tbs. Distilled Water or Rose Water

(Best to test this on a patch of skin before use if you can sensitive skin.)
